The Garden

The garden will surprise and enchant you - over the last 30 years it has been transformed into a succession of surprises as you move from one landscaped area to the next. Friendly fantails follow you around while you will chance upon a fragrant garden, hosta haven, secret garden, stumpery, native garden, moonlight garden, butterfly house, magnificent azalea and rhododendron garden, woodland garden and parkland. The variety of textures and colours is endless.

Below is an Event held in our garden on  Sunday the 30th of October.

Ribblesdale is developing its own micro-climate and eco-system where environmental theories have been integrated into the design of the gardens and butterfly house.

Nestled under the foothills of the Southern Alps on the Inland Scenic Route 72 and doorway to the West Coast, Kaikoura, Hanmer Springs, Methven, Geraldine, Lake Tekapo, Mt.Cook and the rest of the South Island, Oxford is best known for its tranquil rural setting. There are bush walks where you can still explore the pockets of native flora, bird and plant life. It is an ideal place to stop and revitalise, re-charge your batteries, enjoy the area and take time out to enjoy clean, fresh air. Easy 40 minutes drive to Christchurch City and Airport.
