Centuria Taranaki Garden Festival

Festival Office TAFT. Cnr of Brougham and Powerderham Street. New Plymouth, 4310

Overview

New Dates  Fri 1st November through to 10th November 2024

The Centuria Taranaki Garden Festival, formerly the Rhododendron Festival, was established in 1987.

The national annual ten-day festival is one of the longest-running in the country offering visitors an exclusive opportunity to discover and explore Taranaki- like no other, our unique environment, scenery, and glorious award-winning gardens.

Our festival offers countless opportunities to soak up the region’s wealth of gardening knowledge, immerse in the thriving creative community, and enjoy world-class regional hospitality and attractions.

The festival features over 40 gardens around Taranaki, from the established park-like country gardens, sustainable urban food forests, inner-city sub-tropical rainforests, and native sanctuaries.

The Gardener

The stars of the 10-day festival are the glorious gardens Taranaki has to offer. Meet the owners and be inspired and informed by their garden creations.

Garden Size

Garden sizes vary from smaller urban gardens to expansive rural settings and everything in between!

Other Facilities

Each year we present a smashing range of enticing events. Some are for learning, some are for inspiration, and some are just so you can get all dolled-up and dance the night away with like-minded garden lovers!

Most events require you to book tickets, but there are some fantastic free options in this year’s line-up.
