Formerly the Rhododendron Festival we were established in 1987 and continues to delight people from all over the world. We offer you an intriguing mixture of both unique and stunning gardens, each with their own story to tell. A spring celebration of 40 glorious gardens and events will showcase 4 NEW gardens as well as those who have not presented in years.
This year we are teaming up with the Taranaki Arts Trail, where over 80 artists around Taranaki are opening their studios to the public on the weekend of 30th, 31st and 1st
Our regions public gardens are our festival gems, but it’s our private gardens open exclusively for the 10 days of the festival that will be a must-see. Self-drive around our majestic Taranaki Maunga (mountain) and explore the beauty of our region.
