June and Colin have lived here all their married life, romantically planted rhododendron each year to mark their anniversary. Hence rhododendrons of all ages are in the garden. Bark gardens became a necessity when those mowing the lawns defaulted because there were too many trees to mow around. This area subsequently became the favourite hosta patch, and these hostas give a feeling of peace in the garden. Where this looked bare in the winter hellebores have been planted. So you get the feel how this gardened evolved. Now our three sons' have moved on Colin mows the lawns once again and does other jobs as of June requests.
