Paterson Park and Gardens’ lush garden provides the perfect ambience and endless photo opportunities, for your garden wedding celebration or special event. Should the weather be unkind, we have a museum that seats around 60 people. This is one of our rustic barns which used to house grain back in the day of the Clydesdale teams.

Waikaka Station is currently home to 3 generations of the Paterson Family who live and work the family property together. Laurie took over the running of the farm from his parents Lorraine and Eric in 1965 and has farmed it ever since alongside his wife Sharon and now his son Ross who lives here with his wife Steph and their three children, Ollie Emmie and Leo who are the 6th generation here on the property.

We love to meet folk from around the globe and are happy to be able to offer a glimpse into farm life here at Waikaka Station. With opportunities to see sheep being shorn (pre-booking required, a minimum of 10), handle fleeces and watch the dogs work sheep in the yards we can provide an up-close and personal experience of some of our farm’s daily workings. Depends on what is happening on the farm.

We have a gift shop with locally made products of which a number are made for our wool. All products in the shop come with their own unique story.
