Waikura Gardens

1620 Pehiri Road, Gisborne

Welcome to Waikura Gardens.  The garden is set on Waikura Station, a large sheep and beef station where there is always plenty happening.  We are third-generation farmers and gardeners doing our bit to honour the past and contribute to ensuring a bright and sustainable future.  We have much to see including roses, camellias, redwoods, oak trees, clipped hedges, a dahlia patch and a developing Australian way - a nod to Gemma's heritage.  We look forward to seeing you.

The Gardener

Gemma Hain along with her husband Sam. Sam is the chief lawnmower, hedge trimmer, edger, builder and heavy lifter. Gemma's love of gardening was uncovered by a friend and gardener Rochele Patterson.  Rochele worked with Gemma in the garden for 6 1/2 years providing lots of ideas, inspiration and encouragement.
