The Omaka Gardens are owned by Christopher and Scott, who delight in sharing them with visitors from around New Zealand and the world. Weddings are held in our 5-star Garden of National Significance, nestled in the heart of the Forgotten World. We have called Omaka home since 2017, when we purchased the property from its original owners, who began creating the gardens in 1978. A tranquil and very special place, and we love helping couples celebrate one of the happiest days of their lives.
Host Scott is a licenced and experienced celebrant who would be delighted to marry you – to each other of course! Our brand-new garden conservatory, The Orangerie, has been purpose-built to provide elegant, covered seating for up to 30 guests. Opening into the gardens beside Omaka Lodge, it provides a beautiful all-weather ceremony option. In addition to celebrant services, we can help arrange many other aspects of your wedding, including photography, catering, floristry and accommodation.

In addition to celebrant services, we can help arrange many other aspects of your wedding, including photography, catering, floristry and accommodation. Bridal party accommodation is available on site for up to 14 people.

Pricing is tailored to each wedding and depends on your requirements, including celebrant services, catering, accommodation and guest numbers.
Ample off-street parking is available adjacent to the garden entrance.
Dogs are welcome by prior arrangement.
We can provide catering ranging from morning and afternoon teas, to lunches and intimate wedding dinners.
Children are very welcome. As the gardens include ponds and water features, children must be supervised at all times.
Guest toilet facilities are available within Omaka Lodge.
Garden seating is available throughout the grounds, with wedding ceremony chairs also available..
