With 4 acres of gardens, outdoor and shaded seating, and beautiful Maori art signposted as you enter, The Heke is the perfect Waiheke Island wedding venue.
Your guests will be able to mix and mingle, on arrival and during Cocktail Hour. Fun optional additions include our Golf Simulators, Landrover Bar, and Gin Bar in the gardens.
Adjacent to The ‘Heke restaurant is our state-of-the-art brewery and distillery. With its own luxe bar, tasting room and Barrel Hall, this private space proudly hosts beautiful events and showcases our renowned brands, Waiheke Whisky and Waiheke Brewing Co. With distinct spaces to book together, or on their own, your wedding promises to be unique and unforgettable.
The total cost of the wedding will be venue hire fee + minimum spend on food and beverages. The amount depends on the day of the week and month of the year. Once we understand what you envisage from your big day, we will provide you with a tailored quote.

There is a driveway on the right hand side of the property that leads to our accessible parking bays, and the entrance to the restaurant is directly adjacent. There is an angled ramp/path that accesses this building. Please note the ramp/path may not be suitable for some wheelchairs, as it has a compacted gravel finish. There is another entrance on one level with the distillery and brewery, with accessible parking, however in some periods this might need our help to confirm, as it is alongside our working brewery and there may be water/heat/noise in this area. We can let you know on the day. We suggest you first access the restaurant entrance and we can help direct you from there if necessary or give us a call before you come, details below.

If you have children amongst your guests they can enjoy the sandpit, mini kitchen and jumping pillow!
We have spacious bathrooms. Accessible bathrooms are about 20 meters from the entrance to the restaurant.
The Barrel Hall can be included if you hire the entire venue. It is perfect for the ceremony and the after party, with DJ or band. For smaller weddings, this may be set up to seat up to 60 guests for dinner, or stand up style for larger groups.

Without a Car: When you get off the ferry at Matiatia Wharf you can taxi, rent a car, electric bike, scooter, or catch the bus.
Bus: You can use your AT HOP card on Waiheke buses. There is a regular bus stop close to our gate. Get on the bus to Onetangi and ask the driver for THE HEKE on Onetangi Rd.
The Fullers Hop On Hop Off bus stops close by too. Just ask the driver and look out for our sign, straight across the road from the golf course.
