Gardens to visit - Rotorua Festival of Gardens

Overview

We run our festivals biennially; the next one will be in November from Friday 14th to Sunday 16th November 2025.

It's not too early to consider entering your garden for next year's festival. We'll soon be asking interested gardeners, either new to the festival or who have previously exhibited their gardens, to get in touch with us. We'll gather information and photograph the gardens during this year's springtime to begin collating the 2025 Festival of Gardens Visitor Guide early next year.

The Gardener

Our Vision. To promote the Rotorua District as an attractive area to live and visit; To organise and promote festivals of gardens to encourage people to become more garden-conscious; To promote and conduct events associated with gardens; To raise funds to cover the costs of the festival. Donate surplus funds to a local charity determined by the Gardeners at the Rotorua Festival of Gardens AGM.

We are hugely grateful to Sandy Cleland at Palmers Rotorua who has once again agreed to be a sponsor and will be on board for the 2025 festival.

Garden Size

While some of the gardens are very large, others demonstrate the wonderful things that can be achieved on small urban properties.
