Overview

Cedar Park Gardens are set on 1.5  acres of land at the end of a private lane in central Rolleston. The gardens were started in 2000, and have now become a popular venue for visits & small functions. They have won double awards in local garden competitions over the years. It has grown from nothing to mature trees etc. containing many differing areas - Natives, Potager, Pond area, formal Buxus gardens annuals, perennials, many trees, & hedging, along with a gazebo and "musterers" hut. We have a good selection of plants for sale and get pleasure from seeing the enjoyment visitors get from their visit. Visitors can relate to this special achievable home garden.

The Gardener

Anne and Ron love the outdoors, and like the space around them, hence the 1.5 acres of gardens!!  Anne is a passionate gardener; Ron's invaluable contribution lies in maintaining equipment & tools, mowing lawns, and constructing whatever plan Anne has dreamed up next! - but pull a weed - never!!  The garden is a garden of memories for Anne (as  Nana would have called it), as many pieces have been swapped with friends and family. Anne and Ron gain much pleasure from sharing their garden with others.  As an avid photographer, Ron spends many hours photographing the garden and individual flowers.

Garden Size

1.5 acres, allow 1 hour for your visit.

We have a beautiful setting for wedding ceremonies,  with a small function and many areas for delightful photo shots.

December 24 - Somerfield Garden members.

Anne and Ron a quick thank you for providing Somerfield Garden members with such a wonderful visit to your amazing garden (the tulip tree was a very special topic of interest and discussion) and also for the lovely home prepared lunch.  You are getting a well deserved reputation for the quality of your delightful food and I have to confess that personally I ate far too much as I could not resist a second visit to the table.

Your kindness and hospitality is very much appreciated.
