private garden

Folsters Gardens

98 Millton Park Rd Invercargill Southland

Overview

Our garden is stunning at all times of the year and will touch all your senses. We have an extensive vegetable garden and tunnel house. Roses and perennials give colour throughout most of the year.

The lush gardens offer a haven of peace and tranquility and our guests are welcome to wander through them at their leisure

Magnificent wooded areas, gentle open spaces, a beautiful formal rose garden.,

Many native birds use our garden including wood pigeons, tuis, bellbirds and a white-faced heron.

Experience the stillness of country living, where you can see beautiful sunsets and a spectacular night sky undisturbed by city lights on clear nights.

The Gardener

Trevor is very creative and makes garden art out of old garden tools and farm machinery checkout his page "Hugs Bugs n Stuff". He has several motorbikes and loves yarning about them.  His shed is huge, 132 square meters. Ask him to show you it. He is in the process of setting up a forge.

Lynne has a keen interest in craftwork particularly patchwork, spinning, knitting, sewing and weaving. Come and sit with me in my studio, join me in creating.

Weddings

I am a celebrant registered with the NZ Government Department of Births, Deaths and Marriages and I love officiating at weddings!  Do you want your day to be special and unique? Do you want a vibrant celebrant? I can help you at your place, up the mountains by the sea or I can make a complete package using our garden.

Other Facilities

Our home is a 1940s wooden bungalow. We have renovated the house and have been faithful to the art deco period without compromising warmth and comfort. Inside you will find an eclectic collection of furnishings and objects. We are both avid collectors of all that is unusual.
